Israel has carried out a six-hour-long operation in Ramallah, the administrative capital in the occupied Westbank overnight.
It was reported by Reuters that the raid resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy named Mustafa Abu Shalbak-who was struck in the head and chest.
They further reported that violence has escalated across the West Bank.
The IDF said their raid caused a riot to break out, with Palestinians throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at the soldiers, who responded with live fire from assault rifles.
Israeli military officials said the raid was a counter-terrorism operation and that they captured two wanted suspects and seized "inciting material spread by Hamas."
"During the operation, a violent riot developed, in which suspects hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at Israeli security forces, who responded with live fire. A hit was identified," it said.
Movement restrictions, detentions, and raids have made life in the West Bank increasingly difficult for those who live there. Some fear the area is threatening to plunge into total anarchy.
At least 400 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with Israeli soldiers and settlers since the war in Gaza began.
Israeli forces also tore up a main road by the Nur Shams refugee camp in the Tulkarm area of the West Bank, witnesses said.
"Every time they enter the camp they destroy more than the previous time," said Ibrahim Hamarsheh, a resident of the camp who heads the Tulkarm branch of the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, which advocates for Palestinians in Israeli jails.
Israeli forces have also been accused of bulldozing Palestinian homes.
The West Bank city of Nablus was also stormed.
Israeli forces detained at least 55 Palestinians in raids across the West Bank overnight, according to The Palestinian Prisoners Club.
