The Heat (43-14) kickoff their three-game road trip with a visit to Houston Tuesday. Miami won 11 of their last 12 games, including eight straight. A large part of the Heat's success is due to perennial All-Star LeBron James, who averaged 37.1 points on 63.7 percent shooting in the seven of Miami's last eight games he played in.

The four-time league MVP also scored a franchise-best 61 points on Monday against the Charlotte Bobcats.

"The man above has given me some unbelievable abilities to play the game of basketball," James said of his 22-of-33 shooting performance, via ESPN. "I just try to take advantage of it every night. I got the trust of my teammates and my coaching staff to go in there and let it go.

"Every night I go on the floor I want to be the MVP of this league, MVP of this team, MVP for me, myself and my family. I've set a high standard and I have to live by that."

Houston, meanwhile, has won 10 of their last 12 games and sits No. 5 in the Western Conference with a 40-19 record. The Rockets are coming off a 118-110 win on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons and are looking forward to their first game of the season against Miami.

"Great team, it's going to be a good challenge for us," Rockets star James Harden said. "Limit our turnovers and rebound the basketball - if we do those two things, we'll be in good hands."
