Missouri Teen Who Smashed Girl's Head Into Pavement During Viral Brawl Should Be Charged As Adult, AG Says

"If the victim dies, that offense should rise to a homicide," AG Andrew Bailey wrote on X Sunday

Missouri's attorney general is vowing to do "everything" in his power to make sure a teen who was captured on camera smashing another girl's head into the pavement during a viral brawl is held accountable and tried as an adult.

AG Andrew Bailey weighed in on the disturbing fight between two female teens filmed outside Hazelwood East High School in St. Louis on Friday that left a 15-year-old hospitalized in critical condition.

"This evil and complete disregard for human life has no place in Missouri, or anywhere. I am praying for the victim. The criminal should be charged and tried as an adult. If the victim dies, that offense should rise to a homicide," Bailey wrote on X Sunday.

He shared a follow-up post Tuesday, offering his condolences to the victim's family, adding, "I will do everything in my power to ensure the perpetrator is held fully accountable."

The suspect is being held on assault charges after she was recorded pummelling the victim, straddling her, and repeatedly smacking her head into the ground, according to KSDK-TV. Her identity is being withheld due to her age.

Meanwhile, Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe identified the victim only by her first name.

"This culture of a complete disregard for human life is unacceptable and it does not represent who we are as Missourians. All involved must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Our prayers are with the victim, Kailee, for a full recovery," he said in a statement to KMOV-TV.

Video of the assault shared by Libs of TikTok has already been viewed more than 25 million times.
