A Florida woman accused of killing her mother by cutting her heart out allegedly admitted to murdering the victim because "she was mean."
Earleen Tucker has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder in connection with the grisly death of her mom, Lucille Tucker, court records indicate.
She pleaded not guilty.
Her public defender, Deana Duncan, did not immediately respond to HNGN's request for comment.
On March 6, Tucker, 58, was met by officers responding to a call about a naked woman outside her Tallahassee, Florida, home, according to court documents.
Responding officers met Tucker and were eventually able to coax her into going inside her residence to put on a robe, where they allege they witnessed what appeared to be a human organ on the floor.
Upon entering another room in the home, they allegedly saw Tucker's mother, Lucille, dead from apparent stab wounds, and Tucker was taken into custody.
During police questioning, detectives alleged the suspect referred to her mom as a "sacrificial lamb" who was "mean to me, but I didn't care," court documents read. She allegedly admitted several times to detectives that she murdered her mother and made reference to cutting out her mom's heart to inspect it.
Tucker's daughter told detectives her mother suffered from mental health issues over the years, although she was unclear about an official diagnosis.
Tucker remains held at a Leon County jail on no bond. A judge ordered her to a competency hearing.
Her next scheduled court date is July 7.
