A smiling Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed she's leading a hearing on black market baby organ harvesting alongside a pair of high-profile anti-abortion activists, in what some are criticizing as an oddly-executed announcement.
The 49-year-old Georgia Republican representative and vocal pro-life advocate took to X earlier this week to unveil the hearing slated for March 19, with "special guests David Daleiden and Terrisa Bukovinac."
The announcement featured a photo of Greene with a wide grin plastered next to the macabre, baby organ harvesting message, prompting some social media users to criticize the lawmaker's bulletin.
"Is this on Comedy Central?" one person joked.
"Hard pass," another wrote.
Comedian and producer Jay Black weighed in, quipping, "I'm no marketing genius, but it seems to me that an investigation into something as dark as 'black market baby organ harvesting' shouldn't be advertised with a graphic that has the same gravitas as a seminar on at-home beauty solutions for the budget-minded."
Greene's planned witnesses, Daleiden and Bukovinac, are both notorious anti-abortion activists.
Daleiden spearheaded The Center for Medical Progress' investigation into Planned Parenthood's "illegal sale of body parts from aborted fetuses," according to his website, while Bukovinac described abortion as "legal child killing" on social media.
