A South Carolina woman drove her minivan, kids included, into the ocean in Florida on Tuesday night, the New York Daily News reported.
Lifeguards in the area rushed towards the car as it began to float away, attempting to save the unidentified woman and kids ages 10, 9, and 3.
The woman, who the Daily News described as "incoherent," and her three kids were rushed to a local hospital and are expected to survive.
A report in First Coast News claimed the woman is pregnant.
Simon Besner, a Canadian tourist, was able to capture the frightening incident on his camera.
"It was a bit terrifying," Besner told WFTV.
According to the Huffington Post, Beach Safety Capt. Tammy Marris said cars are allowed on the beach but mentioned investigators are uncertain of how the situation unfolded.
The incident is still being investigated.
