Bus Driver Rescues Child Running Alone In Street On "Most Dangerous Road In Milwaukee"

Keyon Finkley saw the boy running alone in a Milwaukee street.

A bus driver is being called a hero after he rescued a small child running alone in a busy street known as the "most dangerous road in Milwaukee."

Milwaukee County Transit System driver Keyon Finkley was shocked when he saw the barefoot toddler darting into traffic on Capitol Drive.

He started blowing his horn to alert other drivers and pulled the bus over.

The father of four said he went into "dad mode" to rescue the boy. He carried him into his bus and called for the police.

The boy was only wearing a nightshirt so he gave him a shirt to cover his legs.

"I instantly thought of my kids and was happy to treat that boy like my son at that time," Finkley told ABC News.

Police were able to reunite the boy with his family.

Finkley said he wasn't a hero.

"I just looked to protect a little boy that day," Finkley said. "And I'm happy that I was able to do that."
