Regarding 40 miles southeast of Austin, producing a terrifying scene of death and injuries. The incident was recorded by the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, and thirty-two people were sent to hospitals with varied degrees of injury.

The tragedy happened at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon when a bus traveling west on State Highway 21 collided with a concrete truck traveling in the other direction, according to Sgt. Deon Cockrell of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The two vehicles were involved in a serious collision. The impact of the crash was so strong that several children were flung from the bus in addition to the gravity of the issue.

Unfortunately, the incident not only lost the lives of several people but also involved a Dodge Charger, whose driver also lost their life in the collision. It's still unknown whether the person driving the Dodge Charger was a member of the school organization.

The concrete truck driver is completely cooperating with the police, Sgt. Cockrell stated, but charges might still be brought against him depending on the results of the extensive investigation that is currently being conducted.

According to Tim Savoy, a spokesman for the Hays school district, the bus' 2011 model's lack of seatbelts made the tragedy much worse.

Savoy made the poignant remark that buses built after 2017 had seatbelts installed, which may lessen the severity of injuries sustained, according to USA Today.
