The Powerball jackpot sat at an estimated $750 million heading into Saturday night's drawing - while the top Mega Millions prize crossed the $1 billion threshold.
The Powerball drawing is set for 11 p.m. EDT.
A sole winner would have their choice between 30 annuitized payments for the whole $750 million, or one immediate lump-sum payment of about $360 million.
The odds of winning the top Powerball prize are 1 in 292,201,338.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot rolled over to an estimated annuitized $1.1 billion, after a 30th consecutive drawing failed to yield a top winner Friday night.
That would be the eighth-largest prize in U.S. lottery history, with the next drawing set for Tuesday night.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
