A stunning body cam video released Monday shows selfless New York City police officers stripping off their gun belts and braving the Hudson River to rescue a woman who jumped into the water.
"Without hesitation, they plunged into the frigid waters & pulled her out where @FDNY personnel performed CPR," the NYPD wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "She is alive today thanks to their heroic actions."

The post on the official NYPD News account didn't include the names of anyone involved or additional details about the incident. However, a timestamp on the 1-minute, 18-second recording shows it took place around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
According to National Weather Service data, the high temperature that day was just 43 degrees in Central Park.
The cops' actions drew kudos from X users, with @HMM11960 saying, "Brave and courageous officers and we are eternally grateful!"
"Heroes. Hopefully she will get the help she desperately needs," wrote @elizabethbetsyr, who ended her message with a heart emoji.
@48funnygirl added: "The things good cops have to put of with, yet daily they continue to do incredible things that no one sees. Today we get a close up view. Good job by all."
