No. 18 SMU continues to chase a berth in the NCAA tournament. The Mustangs (23-6) have won 12 of their last 14 games, including three straight. The team's latest win, a 70-55 victory over UCF on Saturday, however, didn't sit well with coach Larry Brown.

"This ranking doesn't mean anything to me right now," Brown said, via ESPN. "I'm proud of the fact that we're in the top 25 in a lot of people's eyes, but we've got a lot of things ahead of us and a lot of great opportunities. And we've got to do better than we did today."

Earning a spot in the NCAA tournament would end SMU's 21-year drought of not appearing in a March Madness, according to ESPN.

No. 11 Louisville, meanwhile, had their seven-game winning streak ended on Saturday against Memphis. The Cardinals (23-6) fell to No. 21 Tigers, 72-66. For Louisville coach Rick Pitino, the loss showed a lack of maturity and focus in his team.

"I knew we were in trouble when we went up seven, and our guys acted like junior high kids," Pitino said. "I knew they weren't focused to put the team away. That was very disappointing for a defending national champion to act like they just won the game being up only seven points on the road."
