See It: Ostrich 'Tadori' Runs Wild on Traffic-Filled Streets of South Korea After Zoo Escape

The ostrich is native to the African savanna.

An ostrich broke out of a South Korea zoo and was caught on camera zigging in and out of traffic on a busy street before being recaptured and sent back to the zoo.

Tadori, the name of the 6-foot-tall ostrich, made a break for it from the Bug City Zoo in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

An ostrich escaped from a zoo in South Korea and was caught on camera running through traffic on a busy road before being recaptured in the parking lot of a storage facility.

The zoo's owner says the flightless bird, which is native to Africa, escaped by squeezing between fences at the facility.

He further stated the animal had been exhibiting symptoms of loneliness and anxiety after his mate, Tasuni, died a month ago.

Tadori and Tasuni arrived at Bug City when they were chicks in July 2020. The owner said Tadori is now resting and recovering in his enclosure.
