Police in New York City reportedly had to temporarily shut down a Versace sample sale due to fights and an unruly crowd.
More than a thousand people showed up to look for bargains.
A video posted by the news video site Citizen showed fights breaking out in front of the Manhattan store before they could even get inside.

Another video posted to TikTok showed people shoving as they squeezed through the doors to get inside to buy items from the fashion house.

The event was temporarily shut down by the NYPD, the New York Post reported. One video on X showed police clearing everyone from the block.
