Kansas City Chiefs Receiver Rashee Rice Sought by Dallas Police After 6-Vehicle 'Street-Racing' Crash: Reports

The drivers of a Lamborghini and a Chevy Corvette were apparently racing when they lost control, according to reports

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was being sought by Dallas police Sunday, suspected of being one of the drivers in an alleged street race that ended in a 6-vehicle crash, according to reports.

The drivers of a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding and both drivers lost control late Saturday in Dallas, local reports said.

The Lamborghini hit a median wall on North Central Expressway and caused a chain-reaction crash involving four other vehicles, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Police believe that a car registered in Rice's name was one of the cars involved in the crash, and that the Lamborghini and Corvette were street racing at the time of the accident, local outlet WFAA reported, citing an anonymous source.

A police document obtained by the Dallas Morning News listed Rice, 23, as the suspected driver of the Corvette.

The people in the Lamborghini and the Corvette ran from the scene, according to the paper.

Two drivers in the other cars were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Another two people were taken to a hospital, also with minor injuries.

Police were searching Sunday for Rice, according to the local outlets. It was not immediately clear whether he was suspected of any charges, and was not listed in Dallas County jail records as of Sunday morning, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Rice grew up in North Richland Hills, Texas and went to Southern Methodist University. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft, and won a Super Bowl with the team in February.
