Mega-popular singer Taylor Swift hit a new high note this week in her debut on Forbes' annual list of billionaires around the world.
The 2024 tally — Forbes' 38th annual ranking — reveals a record-breaking 2,781 billionaires — more than ever before.
And they're richer than ever. All together they're worth a record-breaking $14.2 trillion, up $2 trillion from last year's list and $1.1 trillion above the previous record set in 2021.
Swift chalked up a relatively modest $1.1 billion fortune for her first time on the list. She was joined by other newbies on the list including former NBA star Magic Johnson ($1.2 billon) and TV producer Dick Wolf ($1.2 billion).
LVMH French luxury goods head Bernard Arnault topped the magazine's World's Billionaires ranking for the second time in a row as his booty grew to some $233 billion.
Elon Musk remained in the second slot, with an estimated net worth of $195 billion.
"It's been an amazing year for the world's richest people," said Chase Peterson-Withorn, Forbes senior wealth editor. "Even during times of financial uncertainty for many, the super-rich continue to thrive." He pointed to a record-breaking 14 centibillionaires with "12-figure fortunes."
The U.S. again boasted the most billionaires in the world — 813 — worth a combined $5.7 trillion.
China was second (473 billionaires worth $1.7 trillion), followed by India, with 200 billionaires worth $954 billion.
