Television actor Cole Brings Plenty was found dead in Kansas after he disappeared while under investigation in a domestic violence case, according to authorities.
The body of Brings Plenty, 27, was discovered in a wooded area of Johnson County, the local sheriff's office said Friday, the Associated Press reported.
The cause of death wasn't immediately revealed.
Brings Plenty, who appeared in the "1923" spinoff of popular Western series "Yellowstone," was wanted for arrest on charges of aggravated burglary, domestic battery and criminal restraint filed two days earlier.
He hadn't been seen since Sunday, when he allegedly fled an apartment in Lawrence, Kansas, before police responded to a report of a woman screaming for help there.
Brings Plenty missed a Monday morning audition over Zoom for a part in an upcoming movie, his agent said.
The actor appeared in several TV Westerns, including two episodes of the first season of the Paramount+ series "1923," which stars Harrison Ford and is a prequel to the Paramount Network hit "Yellowstone."
His uncle, Mo Brings Plenty, a star of "Yellowstone" who also advises that show and "1923" on Native American issues, posted a flyer about Cole Brings Plenty's disappearance on Instagram.
His family also reported him missing, according to police.
Cole Brings Plenty's father, Joe Brings Plenty Sr., released a statement Friday that thanked people "for their prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole."
"I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole's heart and loved him," he said.
