Kansas Missing Mothers Update: Drone Footage Reveals Where Car Was Found Abandoned

Police found the women's empty vehicle on a desolate roadside in Kansas

Drone footage reveals the vast area where a pair of Kansas mothers mysteriously vanished, as investigators continue their frantic search nearly two weeks after the women were last seen alive.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jillian Kelley, 39, disappeared March 30 during a drive from Hugoton, Kansas, to Eva, Oklahoma, to pick up Veronica's two children.

Police found their vehicle ditched on a roadside in Elkhart, Kansas – about 30 miles outside of Hugoton. Evidence discovered within the car suggests foul play, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, however investigators have not elaborated on that evidence.

Aerial footage captured by a drone earlier this week shows the massive, desolate area where the women's abandoned vehicle was recovered, according to NewsNation.

The OSBI has not disclosed any further evidence indicating the whereabouts or the conditions of the victims, and they've reportedly advised family members to decline media interviews.

No arrests have been made in connection with Butler and Kelley's disappearance.

"There's every reason to believe that they could be in danger," OSBI spokesperson Hunter McKee previously told ABC News. "It was a very rural area. They're nowhere to be found... the fact that we've had no contact with them for this long."

Butler was reportedly in the midst of a custody battle with her ex, and Kelley – the wife of a pastor – may have been accompanying Butler to act as a mediator when picking up her kids.

The children may have been living with their paternal grandmother at the time.
