Connecticut Woman Who Conspired to Murder Jennifer Dulos Loses Bid For New Trial

Husband's girlfriend maintains innocence in murder of his wife

Michelle Troconis, who conspired alongside her lover Fotis Dulos to murder his wife Jennifer Dulos, has been denied an acquittal and a new trial.

The judge is considering whether to vacate one of Troconis' conspiracy to commit evidence tampering charges on the premise of possible double jeopardy, Marissa Alter from News12 Connecticut reported

In 2019, Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence, and hindering prosecution in the missing case of Dulos' wife, Jennifer.

Authorities were never able to recover Jennifer's body; however, she was presumed dead after police discovered enough bloodshed in the garage of her home and ruled it a homocide.

While out on bail and awaiting trial, Fotis Dulos missed an emergency bond hearing, and was later found unresponsive at his home in Farmington after killing himself with carbon monoxide.

Troconos maintains her innocence.

The final decision will be announced at the sentencing schedule for May 31.
