A French woman set a world record by rope climbing the Eiffel Tower in record time on Wednesday.
Anouk Garnier climbed the iconic 361-foot structure in 18 minutes. That was two minutes shorter than she expected.
My dream has come true. It's magical," Garnier told the Guardian. "If there was one thing I never doubted, it was that I was going to do it."
The elite athlete trained for a year to attempt the record.
The obstacle course racer used the climb to raise money for cancer prevention after her mother was diagnosed.

She added, "The satisfaction and joy I derive from it today are all the greater. It's a crazy dream come true."
The previous world record was held by South African Thomas Van Tonder. He climbed 295 feet up the Soweto Towers in Johannesburg in 2020, CBS News reported.
Guinness World Records still needs to validate Garnier's time for it to be the official new record.
