A Florida man is accused of shoplifting surf and turf from a Walmart store, even swiping a duffel bag off the rack to use in the his grocery list heist.
The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says Careem Griffin, 46, of Jacksonville, went into a Walmart on State Road 200 earlier this month.
They say Griffin stole nine succulent lobster tails and four premium ribeye steaks, two packages of snow crab legs and a rotisserie chicken.
Authorities say Griffin "brazenly strolled out of the store" just after 6 p.m., with a duffel bag filled with the food.
They claim that he also swiped the very duffel bag he used to conceal his food.
He returned to the same store three days later and deputies busted him.
"While the motives behind Griffin's shopping spree remain unclear, one thing is certain: the allure of fresh lobster tails and premium meats proved too tempting to resist, leading to a confrontation with the law that left him in hot water, both literally and figuratively," a humorous news release by the sheriff's office said.
