Paul Prediger, formerly known as Gaige Grosskreutz, and one of the victims shot by Kyle Rittenhouse on August 25, 2020, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, spoke out this afternoon ahead of Rittenhouse's speech tonight.
Prediger has previously said that he has chosen to remain silent rather than revisit a traumatic moment in his life.
"That ends today. Rittenhouse has used every moment to gloat and make light of taking life; he has embraced and is being embraced by those who peddle hateful rhetoric and believe in nationalism that excludes those who do not look like them or think like them," he declared.
Rittenhouse made headlines several years ago as he faced charges connected to the shooting of three men-- two fatal, which occurred during a 2020 protest amid civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
He was later acquitted at his trial in November 2022 after he claimed self-defense.
