Future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently said he's ready for the 2024 season after finally completing months of rehab for his torn Achilles.
The 40-year-old New York Jets quarterback said he hopes to continue playing for two or three more seasons, even though his first season with the Jets ended in injury after only a few plays.
Rodgers underwent surgery to repair the torn Achilles tendon in September of 2023, and he has been in therapy for the past seven months after suffering the injury just four plays into the first game.
However, he walked into Jets headquarters on Monday, raring to go, according to the Daily Mail.
On the 'I Can Fly' podcast, he admitted that he feared this injury might have ended his career. He said, "I was really thinking: 'This is it. You don't come back from this injury.'"
A person close to Rodgers reportedly said he feels he is now where he wanted to be when he moved to New York last year, and according to Rodgers, he is faster than before getting hurt.
Rodgers was miraculously approved to return to the field four months after the injury but didn't play because the Jets were out of the playoff hunt.
Rodgers and the Jets agreed to a two-year contract in July 2023, with $75 million guaranteed through the 2024 season.
