No. 6 Villanova heads into Thursday's game looking for their fifth straight win. The Wildcats (26-3), after coming off a 73-56 win against Marquette, can clinch the Big East title with one more win. If the team can beat either Xavier or Georgetown, Villanova would win the Big East title for the first time in more than 30 years, according to ESPN.

"All of us are human. We see everything going on around us," Villanova coach Jay Wright told the team website, via ESPN. "When we come in to practice, though, or when we get together on the road, we talk about blocking all of that out. We've got to enjoy the moment. We talk about, be here now. We have to enjoy the challenge of this game at Xavier."

Villanova will look for a big game from leading-scorer James Bell, who was scoreless on Saturday against Marquette. Bell scored 27 points in Villanova's 81-58 win on Feb. 3 against Xavier.

The Musketeers (20-10) are looking to avoid another blowout loss to the Wildcats. Freshman forward Jalen Reynolds is tasked to fill the scoring void left by junior center Matt Stainbrook, who's out indefinitely after spraining his MCL on Monday against Seton Hall.

"The good thing is Jalen has played very well here of late," Xavier coach Chris Mack said of the freshman, who's averaging 8.3 points and 9.3 rebounds over the last three games. "He's not going to have the experience that Matt brings to the table, but he's more athletic, he rebounds every bit as well as Matt does and we feel he's a capable scorer as evidenced by a few games he's had this season."
