One of 'God's Misfits' Accused of Murdering Kansas Moms Took Responsibility for Killings, Court Docs Reveal

Tifany Adams 'did provide a recorded statement to law enforcement indicating her responsibility for the death of the deceased,' prosecutors allege

Tifany Adams, a member of "God's Misfits," accused of murdering a pair of Kansas moms, allegedly took responsibility for the slayings, according to court documents.

Prosecutors allege Adams, 54, "did provide a recorded statement to law enforcement indicating her responsibility for the death of the deceased," court documents stated, KSN-TV reported.

The details are unclear as to what Adams allegedly confessed.

She, along with boyfriend Tad Cullum, 43; Cora Twombly, 44; and her husband Cole Twombly, 50, have been charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Veronica Butler, 27; and Jillian Kelley, 39, according to authorities.

The foursome were denied bond.

Butler and Kelley disappeared on March 30 during a drive from Hugoton, Kansas, to Eva, Oklahoma, to pick up Butler's children from Adams.

The women's abandoned vehicle – with evidence of foul play – was later found on the side of a bloodied highway, according to authorities.

Butler and Kelley's bodies were discovered Sunday buried in a hay-covered hole on a property rented out by Cullum, two weeks after they mysteriously disappeared.

Authorities allege a child custody battle between Butler and her ex motivated the suspects to kill.

The suspects face the death penalty if convicted of the murders.
