Washington casino-goers where left shocked when a stranger stabbed a fellow gambler to death at a table in a "completely random" attack, according to a report.

The Auburn Police Department said it happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort.

Officers found the 29-year-old victim with a stab wound to the neck. First responders attempted life-saving measures but he died at the scene.

Police say the victim, who was not identified, was standing at one of the tables and the suspect walked up behind him and stabbed him in the neck.

Detectives do not believe the victim and suspect had any contact before the attack.

"It's a scary and terrible situation that occurred and this person had no idea what was going to happen to them," police spokesperson, Kolby Crossley told KCPQ-TV. "This happened at the casino on the casino floor. So, there were a lot of people around, there were cameras."

Ricky Josh Fuentes, 31, was arrested without incident and was booked into King County Jail on homicide charges. A court date was not immediately set for him to make an initial appearance.

There is no known motive for the attack.
