A goalkeeper for the Orlando City Soccer Club was arrested after an altercation with security guards at a city nightclub.
Mason Stajduhar, 26 was removed from the Tier Nightclub early Sunday after an altercation between his wife, Tatiana Stajduhar, and club security, the Orlando Police Department told local media outlets.
A bouncer claimed they appeared to be drunk.
Mason Stajduhar was actively resisting security and attempting to re-enter the club, an arrest affidavit said.
Police were called and placed him in handcuffs. He told police he was trying to go back into the club because the bouncers of hit his wife.
Mason Stajduhar admitted he was at fault for resisting and said he only did it to make sure his wife was OK.
While he was in cuffs, Tatiana Stajduhar allegedly pushed the officers and was resisting while she was arrested.
The couple was released Monday after posting a bond.
Stajduhar has been with the team since 2015. He is under contract through 2025.
The Major League Soccer team issued a statement saying it was aware of the arrest and it was "currently gathering more information and will have no further comment at this time."
