
Seven people were injured and four of them were in critical condidtion after a shooting late Saturday night in Long Beach, California, officials reported.
The remaining three victims had non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a statement
There were no arrests as of early Sunday.
Police were still seeking a motive in the shooting, which occurred near restaurants and several other businesses.
"The suspect(s) fled prior to officers' arrival," Long Beach police said in a statement. "Suspect information and motive are unknown at this time."
Detectives remained on the scene, and police asked that the public avoid the area during the ongoing investigation.
