At least one person is dead after tornadoes ripped through Oklahoma on Monday, in the second series of twisters that have hit the central regions of the country in the last five weeks.
In Barnsdall, an Osage County town of 1,000 residents, the twisters konocked over powerlines and trees, damaging at least 40 homes in the process.
"It is a small town and [the tornado] just pretty much went right through the center of it," Osage County Undersheriff Gary Upton told the Associated Press.
The Barnsdall Nursing Home was forced to evacuate its residents to a football field house, after experiencing a gas leak during the storm.
"All residents are accounted for with no injuries or deaths," the nursing home shared on Facebook. "Please pray for us. The facility took a direct hit on the southwest side of town."
The tornado that hit Barnsdall was one of an estimated four to six twisters that hit Oklahoma on Monday, according to the Oklahoman. These storms come in the wake of an April 1 tornado, which blasted the small town with winds reaching 90 to 100 miles per hour.
