Houston (42-19) are on a three-game winning streak, including a 106-103 win on Tuesday against the Miami Heat.
Forward Terrence Jones continues to impress and is now averaging 11.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game; he scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on Wednesday in the Rockets' win against the Orlando Magic.
"I was just reading the defenders," Jones told the team website, via ESPN. "They were playing off, backing in to try to stop Dwight from getting the ball. I just wanted to be more aggressive so later on, he could get the ball."
The Rockets and Pacers met on Dec. 20, when Indiana handed Houston a 114-81 loss.
"The game in Indiana, we didn't play our brand of basketball," Rockets star Dwight Howard said. "They were a lot better team than we were earlier in the season. We understand the game as a team a little bit better. I think it is going to be a different game and we are looking forward to that matchup."
Indiana (46-15), meanwhile, lost back-to-back games to the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Bobcats.
"Over the last 20 games or so, we just haven't had our mojo," Pacers forward David West said. "We've got to change some things up because these last 20 games is going to be a battle."
