Michael Cohen, who is due to testify Monday against his former boss Donald Trump, is reportedly pitching a reality TV show that would have him helping solve problems that businesses face called "The Fixer."
A promotional video for the program has been seen by the New York Post.
The title is a reference to Cohens' time as Trump's "fixer," including allegedly arranging a $130,000 payoff to former porn star Stormy Daniels to buy her silence over an alleged sexual relationship with Trump.
The accounting of that payment is the cornerstone of the criminal charges that Trump is currently battling in New York. The former president faces 34 felony charges for allegedly hiding what amounted to campaign spending to keep voters in the dark about Daniels within business expenses. Trump has denied having sex with Daniels.
Cohen is considered the star prosecution witness in the case.
"I fixed [Trump's] problems both professional and personal, gaining power, wealth and notoriety for myself in the process. And I paid the price for it," Cohen says in the prmotional video for "The Fixer," the New York Post reported.
A judge sentenced Cohen to three years in prison in 2018 after he pleaded guilty to tax evasion and violating campaign finance laws.
The show's pitch claims Cohen is now working to redeem himself.
"Now I'm paying it forward, wielding the tools that I've learned for regular people in trouble," Cohen says in the video.
Judge Juan Merchan issued a warning to Cohen on Friday, telling prosecutors to tell him to stop talking about the case and Trump on social media.
