Movie and TV star Steve Buscemi was the victim of a random attack in New York City.
Buscemi, 66, was on Third Avenue in Manhattan's Kips Bay neighborhood on Wednesday when a man walked up and punched the "Boardwalk Empire" star in the face.
EMS took him to Bellevue Hospital with bleeding, bruising and swelling.
"Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Midtown Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city," Buscemi's publicist confirmed to the New York Post.
"He is okay and appreciates everyone's well wishes, though incredibly sad for everyone that this has happened to while also walking the streets of New York."
The NYPD has released images of the man wanted in connection with the attack.
According to a pollice statement, when officers arrived on the scene they were "informed a 66-year-old male was punched in the face by an unidentified individual."
Emergency Medical Services responded and "transported the victim" to Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition after treatment for " bruising, swelling, and bleeding to his left eye," the NYPD said.
"At this time are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing," police said.
A number of women in the city had previously reported being randomly punched in the face on the street.
Buscemi is a New York native and was a firefighter for New York City's Fire Department before he got his break as an actor.
Another "Boardwalk Empire" actor was recently assaulted in Manhattan when a homeless man attacked actor Michael Stuhlbarg on March 31 in Central Park.
Stuhlbarg suffered a small bruise and said he didn't need any medical attention, according to police. An arrest was made in that case.
