A protest encampment set up by students at the University of Michigan is currently being raided with police pepper spraying protesters in the face while attempting to dismantle the tents.

Universities nationwide continue to grapple with a wave of protests as students demand that Israeli assaults on Gaza cease, and call for college divestment from entities linked to Israel.

Over 2,000 people have been arrested across the country in connection to the demonstrations.

More than 34,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks launched in retaliation for Hamas's Oct. 7, 2023 terror assault on Israel that killed some 1,200 civilians and seized more than 200 hostages.
