The family of a Georgia mother fatally mauled by more than a dozen dogs in front of her kids is mourning her brutal death.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the victim in the attack earlier this month at a school bus stop outside her home as 35-year-old Courtney Williams of Quitman, Georgia.

"With a heavy heart, I have to say that my wife Courtney Williams-Cox passed away yesterday," Joshua Cox wrote in a GoFundMe aimed to defray funeral costs, alleging the neighbor's dogs attacked his family.

"Our middle son Kayden didn't get away fast enough as he pushed his sister out of harm's way. He was hurt pretty bad," said Cox. "My other kids have a lot to deal with."

A good Samaritan drove up during the attack, fought off the dogs, and raced the kids to the hospital, according to WALB-TV. The Brooks County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident.

"When deputies arrived, they encountered several aggressive dogs on the property," the sheriff's office said. "It was determined that an individual had already taken several minors to a local hospital. Deputies subsequently located Williams' body in the yard of the home."

According to the Thomasville Humane Society, there were 15 unattended, "aggressive" dogs residing at their owner's home.

One dog was shot while authorities wrangled them into custody.

It's unclear if the dogs' owner will face charges.
