Police in Los Angeles have arrested a man and a woman accused of being part of a New Year's Eve street brawl that involved "Beverly Hills 90210" star Ian Ziering.

Ziering, 59, was driving with his 10-year-old daughter on Hollywood Boulevard at around 3 p.m. when four to five members of a minibike gang who were weaving through traffic swarmed Ziering's vehicle.

The actor got out and confronted one of the minibike riders over possible damage to his vehicle.

A violent brawl broke out as other bikers swarmed Ziering.

He made a run for the sidewalk as one of the bikers tried to keep ahold of him and another tried to trip him.

After the assault, police say the minibike riders vandalized Ziering's vehicle while his young daughter remained in the front seat. She was not hurt.

Ziering was eventually able to get away and drive off.

He described the incident on Instagram.

"While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself," Ziering wrote.

"I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace."

The Los Angeles Police Department said it used videos of the brawl posted on social media to help them identify two suspects.

Warrants were executed at two homes at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday and both suspects were arrested.

Jacob Esteban Hernandez, 20, is charged with felony vandalism. His bail was set at $50,000. Angie Teresa Guizar, 40, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Her bail was set at $30,000.

The case was sent to the district attorney's office for prosecution.
