Soldiers recovered the bodies of three more hostages killed during the Oct. 7 attacks, Israeli officials announced Friday.
Hanan Yablonka, 42, Michel Nisenbaum, 59, and Orion Hernandez-Radoux, 30, were murdered at the Mefalsim Intersection near the border Israel shares with Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed. Their bodies were found in Jabalya during a joint overnight operation carried out by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency.
The recovery of the hostages' remains comes nearly a week after the bodies of Shani Louk, 22; Amit Buskila, 28; Itzhak Gelerenter, 56; and Ron Benjamin, 53, were also found in Gaza.
Loved ones said the recovery efforts brought them "important closure" but urged the Netanyahu-led government "to bring about a deal that will swiftly return all the hostages home," CNN reported.
Hamas has killed at least 1,200 Israeli citizens since the onset of the war. More than 120 hostages remain after several failed negotiation attempts. About one-third of them are believed to be dead, according to NBC News.
IDF spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari vowed Israeli soldiers would "not stop fighting" to rescue the hostages. "Every decent country in the world would do the same," he said.
On Friday, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to "halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah Governorate, which may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part."
