An accused killer and a convicted armed robber are on the loose after they broke out of a Louisiana lockup with two other inmates.
Omarian Hookfin, 19, and two alleged accomplices were being held in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on homicide charges when they escaped from a recreation yard, authorties said Sunday.
The jailbreak was blamed on a "vulnerable" section of fence that could be "easily maneuvered in such a way that a small statured body could slide through," Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards said in a statement posted on Facebook.
Hoofkin's codefendants, Avery Guidry, 19, and Travon Johnson, 21, were caught hiding in a dumpster behind a Dollar General store in Hammond, Lousiana, about 20 miles south of the jail in Amite City, Edwards said in an update on Monday.
In addition to Hoofkin, the fourth inmate who escaped, Jamarcus Cyrprian, 20, remained at large, Edwards said.
Cyprian was serving time for an armed robbery and weapons conviction, Edwards said.
An unspecified cash reward was offered for information leading to their capture.
