A New Jersey mother is fearing the worst as her 37-year-old daughter, Danielle Lopz, vanished before a camping trip, leading the mother to believe her family is "cursed."
Sue Quackenbush, 63, has already been devastated by the untimely deaths of her two sons and is now searching for her third child and only daughter after she went missing "under suspicious circumstances."
Lopez told her family she was planning to go on a camping trip in Wharton State Forest, which spans more than 124,000 acres across three counties, before completely disappearing.
Now Quackenbush has turned to the public for help, posting on Facebook:
"Unimaginably, tragedy has struck our family again. Danielle was sweet, creative, and loving. She was a wonderful daughter and a vibrant light in my life.
"I just need a miracle and everyone's prayers and wishes," she wrote.
Quackenbush told Fox News that the reason she referred to her daughter in the past tense in her statement is because police have reason to believe that harm has come to her.
The family has suffered one tragedy after another in recent years.
Her son, Eric, died by suicide, and Michael Lopz, who was a Marine, was killed in a car crash shortly after returning to the States from Afghanistan, reported The Daily Mail.
Their father and Quackenbush's ex-husband also died from a heart attack in June 2020.
Danielle's uncle, Fred Lopez, 58, commented on her disappearance, revealing, "Every member of my family has had tragedy. I think my family may have been cursed."
