The "family" of a Georgia woman whose gunshot-riddled body was found beneath an overpass by a production crew earlier this month has vowed to "keep hunting" for her killer.
Area Barnett, 25, was beloved by her colleagues at the Atlanta Walmart she worked at up until she was murdered May 16.
Her work family held a vigil Thursday near Interstate 285, where they promised to get her justice.
"This is not something we're going to let go," Kenyatta Williams, swore, according to WAGA-TV. "We're going to continue; this is not going to be some cold case... because we are going to get justice, and we got to keep hunting everything down. We ain't stopping."
Several of Barnett's loved ones echoed the same sentiment, while declaring their adoration for the victim.
"That was my work child. She was a person where to know her was to love her," said co-worker Shameeka Burns.
"She was our sister, blood couldn't make us any closer," added Tabitha Hammond.
Speaking with WXIA-TV two weeks ago, Barnett's mom said her daughter was shot multiple times at a bus stop before her shift at Walmart. She tried to run away when she was killed.
No arrests have been made, according to Atlanta police.
