No. 9 Wisconsin heads into the Bob Devaney Sports Center looking for their ninth straight win. The Badgers (25-5) haven't lost since Feb. 1 and, with the March tournaments ahead, are getting hot at the right time.
Wisconsin's attack is well balanced, boasting four players averaging scores in the double figures: junior forward Frank Kaminsky (13.3 ppg), sophomore forward Sam Dekker (13.1), senior guard Ben Brust (12.5) and junior guard Traevon Jackson (10.9).
Although the Cornhuskers (18-11) are unranked, Brust knows road games are never easy.
"We play a great team on Sunday at Nebraska," Brust said, via ESPN. "From what I've heard it's one of the hardest places to play at in the Big Ten, a great venue, and they're going to bring the energy there."
Nebraska has improved down the stretch of the season, winning nine of their last 11 games. The Cornhuskers are on a two-game winning streak after victories against Northwestern and Indiana.
"Every game for us is like a tournament play-in game," Nebraska coach Tim Miles said. "Our margin for error is very slim. We had a great win against Indiana. Now, we're going to need a great win against an unbelievable Wisconsin squad."
Sophomore swingman Terran Petteway leads the Cornhuskers in scoring with 17.8 points per game, and fellow sophomore swingman Shavon Shields leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game.
