Levi Wright Accident Update: Family of 3-Year-Old Is ‘Letting Him Go’

'Here soon I'll climb into bed with my baby and hold him as he falls asleep for the last time on this earth,' his mother wrote on Facebook

Levi Wright's mother announced the family is "letting him go" in a painful update on her 3-year-old.

Kallie Wright, who shares Levi with rodeo star Spencer Wright, shared the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post Sunday, nearly two weeks after her son accidentally drove his toy tractor into a river on their Beaver County, Utah, property.

Doctors said Levi suffered from brain hypoxia – a lack of oxygen to the brain – as a result.

"After several sleepless nights, lots of research, multiple conversations with the world's best neurologists & millions of prayers we are here in the face of our biggest fear," the grieving mother captioned a past clip of her and Levi driving a tractor through the snow, as she kissed her boy's cheek. "Levi showed us just enough to buy us time for all of this. We prayed those things were him defying odds & proving to us that he wanted to stay here but we see now he wanted to give us time to find peace with letting him go."

"Here soon I'll climb into bed with my baby and hold him as he falls asleep for the last time on this earth. I find comfort in knowing he will be restored to the perfect little boy he was & have the ability to do all the things he loves!" continued Kallie.

"I know there are Angels up there waiting to hold him until I can again! We will miss him every second of every day down here but feel without unwavering doubt this is the best thing we can do for him!" she confessed. "We love you baby beans and I can't wait till the day you can 'work the ground' with me again!"

The announcement came three days after Kallie revealed doctors were "keeping Levi comfortable" following an unsuccessful attempt to wean him off sedation and a second MRI that failed to show substantial improvement in the toddler's condition.

Earlier on, the Wrights were optimistic about Levi's prognosis.

"We have received multiple small miracles along the way and doctors are certainly surprised by the strides he has made," wrote Kallie.

Levi's dad, Spencer, is ranked no. 40 in the world's saddle bronc riding, according to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

He and Kallie share three children together, including Levi.
