Father of 2 Dies After Utah Road Rage Fight: 'Horiffic Scene'

A Utah man is dead after he suffered from a traumatic brain injury, during a road rage altercation in front of his children.

Michael Alden Brown, 38, was driving with his wife and two children on Monday afternoon when he got into an altercation with John Jeffrey Williams.

"According to witnesses, the road rage began over [Brown] cutting off and brake checking [Williams] as they traveled eastbound. [Williams] followed [Brown] into a neighborhood where both drivers exited their vehicles and a physical confrontation ensued," according to police release.

The pair exchanged punches. Brown was reportedly knocked unconscious. He was "life-flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition."

Brown's sister-in-law created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the victim's wife and two children - who reportedly witnessed the altercation.

"Mike suffered a traumatic brain injury and was life-flighted to the hospital. Despite emergency surgery and the doctors' best efforts, they could not save his life," the post reads. "Both his children witnessed this horrific scene."

The incident remains under investigation - Williams was booked into the Utah County Jail without bail. He is facing charges of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury. Jail records showed the charges were expectedd to be upgraded.

Lehi City Police wanted to remind drivers to "remain calm and composed on the roads." It said it would increase patrols and monitoring inhopes of preventing such incidents.
