A Chicago woman won a $552 million Mega Millions jackpot using Illinois' iLottery app, setting a new record for the mobile sweepstakes.

The unidentified woman said she was going through her emails on June 4 when she saw a notice informing her she'd won the top prize in that day's drawing, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday.

"In the past, I've won $2 here or $5 there, so I assumed it would be similar," she said. "You can't imagine my shock and disbelief when I saw that I had won the jackpot amount of $552 million."

She added: "I actually quit the app and then signed back in to double-check and make sure it was real. It was real, all right, but it still feels unreal."

The woman also said she hadn't yet told her mother about her good fortune but planned to share the winnings and start "enjoying life with my family."
