The family of a Texas man electrocuted in a hot tub at a Mexican resort is asking for help in bringing his body home.

The man, identified by KDBC-TV as 43-year-old Jorge Guillen of El Paso, was killed Tuesday after entering a hot tub with his 35-year-old wife, Lizette Zambrano, at the Resort Sonora Sea in Puerto Peñasco.

Zambrano survived the incident and remains in critical condition at a Mexican hospital.

A witness told investigators she noticed the couple unresponsive in the hot tub. When she tried to enter the water, she was shocked, prompting her to call police.

A video of the incident obtained by KTDO-TV shows a chaotic scene with bystanders screaming while one person attempts to resuscitate Guillen, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Loved ones are now pleading for help to bring his remains back to Texas.

"Our best friends have experienced a horrible accident," a GoFundMe states. "Jorge had a heart of gold and was always there for family and friends. The love they shared was one for ages. We are asking for your help to bring him home & help with medical expenses for her."

Investigators with the General Prosecutor's of the State of Sonora said they are working to determine the origin of the electric failure.
