Monikki Williams Tippet, the mother of Texas Navy veteran Jarvis McIntyre, 26, is speaking out about her son's chilling phone call that was made before he was found dead in a park.
The grieving mother told local media that San Antonio police revealed her son had called 911 as he was running from an alleged "racist."
Tippet and her family believe her son was specifically targeted because he was Black and gay.
"I want answers now. I want this person found," she said, adding that her son "didn't deserve this. They took my baby's life for no reason."
He was last seen on June 8 near John James Park, where his rental car and belongings were found just a block away.
McIntyre had flown to San Antonio from St. Louis to visit his sisters during the weekend of his birthday, according to The Daily Mail.
Originally scheduled to return to St. Louis on June 9, Jarvis McIntyre's family-his mother, stepfather, brother, and aunt-flew to San Antonio on Wednesday to launch a search and distribute missing person posters.
Tippet said she told the Bexar County Medical Examiner that the tattoos on the body that were discovered matched those of her son's.
The medical examiner and authorities have not officially confirmed the identity of the body or how the person died.
