Texas Driver Found With Hit-and-Run Victim's Arm in Passenger Seat

Police in Texas say they found the arm of a hit-and-run victim in the passenger seat of the suspected driver.

Dallas police the driver left the scene of the fatal accident cut called them lafter. They say they found heavy damage to his BMW and a human body part in the passenger seat.

Police say Juan Morgan Munoz, 31, was slurring his speech, glassy-eyed, and reeking of alcohol.

At the time of the accident, Munoz was already on probation due to two previous DWI convictions.

Munoz is facing felony DWI and collision involving death as he sits in the Dallas County Jail, KDFW-TV reported.

An arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the station showed Munoz waited more than 30 minutes before calling 911 to report the crash.

Police say Munoz admitted he hit someone near Storey Lane and I-35E and then proceeded to drive about a mile to his employer, Maaco Auto Body Shop.

Law enforcement noticed that the white BMW had a "hole in the front passenger windshield" and "an entire arm on the front passenger seat," along with blood.

Munoz allegedly told officers he had left a Grand Prairie Hooters and was heading into work.

His breathalyzer tested .179, which is more than twice the legal limit.

Despite Munoz's claim of only taking "one Patron shot in the afternoon," he didn't pass any field sobriety tests.

He also provided a blood sample before being booked into the county jail, where he allegedly told detention officers that he had cocaine in his system.

The victim has yet to be identified.
