The FBI raided a home in Oakland, Calif., on Thursday connected to Mayor Sheng Thao, according to a report.

The agents descended on the home on the 100 block of Maiden Lane around 5:30 a.m. KRON 4 reported.

Several hours later, agents were seen walking out of the home with boxes and bags, the station reported.

A spokesperson for the FBI in San Francisco told KRON that the agency is conducting "court authorized law enforcement" at the home and declined to elaborate.

The Maiden Lane home is one of four properties owned by Thao in Oakland.

The mayor skipped a scheduled event Thursday morning.

The raid comes days after a move to recall Thao garnered the required amount of signatures.

The mayor's office didn't comment on the raid.
