Speed An 'Obvious Factor' In Deadly Anaheim Car Crash

Two people were killed and one teenager was injured in a high-speed car crash in Anaheim on Sunday night, the Los Angeles Times reported.

One vehicle involved crashed into two parked cars, flipping over and hitting a brick wall and then landing into the yard of a house, according to Lt. Tim Schmidt of the Anaheim Police Department.

Authorities responded to the scene of the crash around 10 p.m. Schmidt said that both the driver and passenger were ejected from the car.

The woman, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was pronounced dead at the scene and the man, who was driving, was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The names of the victims have not been released.

A dog inside of the car was also killed in the crash.

A 16-year-old boy, whose name has also not been released, remained in critican condition early Monday.

"Based on the physical evidence here and the location of where the vehicle ended up, speed is an obvious factor," Schmidt added.

The family in the home where the car landed remained unharmed and ot is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
