Gas stations in Texas are running out of fuel, among other vital essentials, as Hurricane Beryl continues to take its toll.
Businesses that have opened in the Houston area are experiencing long lines of people at grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations.
Cars have been lined up in the streets outside businesses since Tuesday.
Susan Balderas told ABC 13 she had tried two other gas stations due to long lines and limited gasoline.
"I've taken my lunchtime today to find gas because in the area where I live, a lot of power is still out," Balderas said.
"Gas stations are out. Long lines everywhere."
Many are pulling into parking lots of closed gas stations, looking to fill their tanks and gas cans, while others have turned to restaurants for a hot meal or an open grocery store.
At least six people have died in Texas and one in Louisiana during Hurricane Beryl, as a massive clean-up and restoration project is due to reconnect 2.3 million energy customers who lost power during the storm's devastating procession through the region.
