George Clooney has officially joined the growing list of celebrities demanding that Joe Biden bow out of the presidential race.

Though a lifelong Democrat, Clooney is firmly stating that Biden must step down from the 2024 race following his calamitous debate and highly publicized concern over whether he's even able to serve four more years.

The famous actor, who has hosted fundraisers for the 81-year-old, said Biden can't win the "battle against time" in a scathing op-ed for the New York Times on Wednesday morning.

Democratic party leaders were also condemned for ignoring every warning sign of Biden's accelerating decline in physical and mental health.

He added that Democrat voters are collectively holding their breath, going as far as "turning down the volume whenever they see the president."

Biden, however, said he's not going anywhere and that come November, he will beat Trump, but Clooney's comments are a massive blow to his already weakening campaign.

Clooney went on to say that he loves Biden-as a senator, as a vice president, and as president-and also considers him a friend.

"But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can. It's devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe "big F-ing deal" Biden of 2010. He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate," he declared.

The actor has become very well-known amongst the Democratic Party, having raised millions for its candidates.

Considered an influential voice in American politics, his retracted endorsement of Biden could potentially hurt Democrats in terms of funding.

Clooney still held a fundraiser earlier this year alongside Julia Roberts and former President Barack Obama in support of Biden that ultimately helped raise $30 million for the president's campaign.

However, a video of Biden and Obama waving and smiling while receiving a standing ovation took an unfortunate turn when Biden suddenly halted, staring aimlessly into the crowd for several long seconds.

Obama then gently took Biden by the wrist, gave him a slight tug and snapped the president out of his trance.

The White House called the video a "fake," according to The Daily Mail.

Clooney is petitioning for a new nominee that he says should be picked at the Democratic National Convention on August 19th through August 22nd in Chicago.

"Let's hear from Wes Moore and Kamala Harris and Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsom and Andy Beshear and J.B. Pritzker and others," he said, naming several governors and the vice president as viable candidates.

Biden, for his part, sent a letter to all Democratic lawmakers on Monday, announcing his decision to remain in the race.
