A Florida jury found Wade Wilson guilty of murdering two women after deliberating for only an hour and 45 minutes last month, and now as a judge weighs whether or not to sentence him to death, other women are sending letters in his defense, asking for his life to be spared.

Kristine Melton, 35, was found dead in her home in October, 2019, and Diane Ruiz, 43, was found in a field days days later after she was reported missing. Both were strangled to death.

Jurors voted 9-to-3 in favor of the death penalty for Melton's murder and 10-to-2 for Ruiz's killing, according to WINK-TV.

The judge does not have to follow those recommendations when he sentences Wilson.

Wilson, 30, made dramatic changes to his face during his time in jail, adding a swastika, the phrase "Bred for War" and the words "Ha Ha Ha" and "glory" on his face.

Multiple women have written Lee County Circuit Judge Nicholas R. Thompson.

One mother of two from Canada begging the judge to "look past his tattoos to his face structure; since being in prison and medicated, he is healthier; his face is fuller compared to his booking picture, where his face is gaunt, pale, and he looks unhealthy."

Another from Visalia, California, expressed, "As someone who cares unconditionally for Wade, I have deeply reflected on the gravity of the situation and impact of your decision."

A third woman asked the judge to "impose a lighter sentence that reflects the possibility of recovery and rehabilitation."

Wilson is scheduled for sentencing on July 23.
